Riverside, California, in the heart of the "IE" (Inland Empire,) has two big claims to fame:

--The birthplace of the navel orange

—The home of the majestic Mission Inn, a historic hotel and spa in the center of town and home to the yearly Festival of Lights.

Add the University of California, rows and rows of orange groves and palms trees, open space, the desert, magnificent winter snow-capped mountain views and Tio's Tacos--as we try to explore below, with photos from our Riverside Photowalk.

I was joined on this walk with my pals Steve Brazill, a lifelong Riverside resident (and the host of the Behind the Shot podcast) as well as photographer Scott Heath.

My standout shot is the huge palm trees set across the orange groves. What's yours?
